Keeping the Trades Strong By Empowering Business Owners

HVAC Contractor Workforce Development

A top priority to Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) is to encourage more people to find rewarding careers in the skilled trades.

ACCA's Workforce Development initiative is free to members in good standing and provides both direction and a variety of online resources to help business owners participate in attracting and training students to enter and thrive in the HVACR trade.

ACCA took the Pledge to America's Workers with President Trump, Vice President Pence, and Ms. Ivanka Trump on July 25, 2019. On behalf of ACCA members, ACCA pledged to train 75,000 HVACR professionals.

Now, it's your turn to take the pledge!

How many workers will you educate, train, and/or hire in the next 5 years? Fill out your pledge certificate and e-mail it to pledge@acca.org. ACCA will send your pledge to the White House so your name will be added to Pledge to America's Workers.

Support for Perkins V Career and Technical Education (CTE) Act

ACCA fought for the re-authorization of Perkins V to ensure continued funding and support for Career and Technical Education (CTE) that meets the unique needs of each state for learners, educators and employers. The Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 was recently updated, bringing changes to the $1.2 billion annual federal investment in Career and Technical Education. Perkins V was signed into law on July 31, 2018 and went into effect on July 1st, 2019.

Federal Funding

Among the many benefits for your HVACR business, Perkins V awards funds to help inform your potential workforce about the rewards of receiving a career and technical education.
