HVAC Quality Installation Standard Out for Second Review

The Air Conditioning Contractors of America Educational Institute (ACCA-EI) Standards Task Team (STT) announces an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) public review period for its BSR/ACCA 5 QI -201x, “HVAC Quality Installation Specification” as a revised industry standard. The 30 day public review period started on May 1, 2015, with a comment deadline of May 31, 2015.

The revised standard details the nationally recognized minimum criteria for the proper installation of HVAC systems in residential and commercial applications. The standard applies to HVAC equipment and components being installed in new and existing residential and commercial buildings.
Changes made to the standard draft following the first public review have been consolidated into a one page document that shows underline for additions and strikethrough for deletions. These red-line changes to the standard revision draft are open for review and comment.
