ACCA Partners With Orion Talent To Help Contractors Recruit Veterans

August 15, 2017

ACCA, the Air Conditioning Contractors of America, and Orion Talent, a leading veteran recruiting firm, are partnering to help ACCA members recruit and hire more veterans into the HVACR industry. Through the partnership, ACCA members will receive a discounted recruiting fee and extended guarantee period on all new hires.

"Our members tell us that finding and hiring quality employees is one of the biggest challenges they face," said Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO. "For years we have known that veterans represented a great, but untapped, pool of potential employees, because they are well trained, disciplined, and understand following protocols and procedures. This new program will help our members gain access to qualified talent and help lessen the frustration they are experiencing with recruiting."

"Veterans range in age, but many of them are in their early twenties when they get out and have leadership skills and experience that translate into the HVACR industry that their peers don't, which makes working with ACCA a great fit," said Aaron Finney, account executive for Orion Talent. "We work closely with the veterans and employers to find a good fit, so that everyone wins in the situation. We have a 70 - 80 percent success rate, and continue to grow our pool of candidates through referrals, on-base recruiting, and our deep networks throughout the military community.”
