ANSI/ACCA 4 QM - 2019 (Quality Maintenance of Residential HVAC Systems)

02-14-2014 04:16 PM

For the public good, residential Heating, Ventilating, and Air-conditioning (HVAC) systems must support a comfortable, healthy indoor environment and operate efficiently throughout their lifecycle. However, HVAC Contractors use different approaches for inspecting and maintaining HVAC systems. There was no way to determine if the many types of “seasonal tune-ups,” “clean and checks,” and “maintenance services” performed on HVAC equipment were equivalent. ACCA developed this standard to provide a nationally recognized, manufacturer-endorsed set of inspection tasks to meet this need.

This standard establishes the minimum tasks that should be performed for HVAC equipment maintenance inspections. From this base, consumers can compare the value of the additional recommended corrective actions that may be needed to remedy identified faults. For contractors, it provides a common platform for creating a maintenance program while allowing for bundling different recommended corrective actions at different fee structures.

The November 2018 edition of IE3 magazine, which has many articles about ACCA this month, says there is an updated 2018 version of this document. It's stated in the article on Page 12, bottom of 1st paragraph. However, the link to the ANSI/ACCA 4 shows it was uploaded in 2014. Where is the 2018 updated version as stated in the magazine article?
