Alexandria, VA (January 18, 2024) - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America Educational Institute (ACCA-EI) Standards Task Team (STT) announces an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) public review period for proposed “addendum A” to ANSI/ACCA 3 Manual S® –2023, Residential Equipment Selection as a revised industry standard.
The 30-day ANSI public review period started on December 29, 2023 with a comment deadline of January 28, 2024. The proposed addendum A will supplement ANSI/ACCA 3 Manual S® –2023.
The proposed addendum will correct and clarify certain requirements in the 2023 edition of Manual S®. The standard provides procedures for selecting and sizing residential heating, cooling, dehumidification and humidification equipment.
